Nick – Managing Director & Senior Physiotherapist

Nick is the Managing Director and Senior Physiotherapist at Pontifex Physiotherapy. He completed his Doctorate in Physiotherapy in Florida, USA, and later earned the prestigious Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) title. He is also a certified Level 3 BradCliff Breathing Practitioner — the highest level available — and a TPI Certified Level 2 Power Specialist in golf.

Nick was a long-time Physiotherapist for Baseball NSW High Performance and is the co-founder of RP Performance, a company specialising in rotational power sports — particularly golf and baseball — where he combines his expertise in biomechanics with performance training.

He has a passion for working with complex and challenging conditions, particularly those involving the spine, shoulder, elbow, and breathing. Nick is committed to identifying the root cause of persistent or misunderstood issues and takes a detailed, hands-on approach to ensure every treatment session is purposeful and effective. He works closely with leading spine, shoulder, and elbow surgeons to ensure optimal outcomes for patients — and where possible, to help them avoid surgery altogether.

Nick’s approach to breathing rehabilitation spans both ends of the spectrum — from enhancing performance in athletes and performers, to helping individuals manage anxiety, regain calm, and restore efficient baseline breathing. He also supports those who struggle with everyday activities due to shortness of breath, poor breathing patterns, or weak respiratory muscles, helping them build strength, efficiency, and confidence through tailored techniques and the use of the Powerbreathe device.

Outside the clinic, Nick enjoys time with his wife Yvette and their two beautiful daughters, Kalea and Abigail.
